ISSS Book Club

From ISSS Wiki

The ISSS Book Club was launched in 2021 and is coordinated by Marty Jacobs.

The purpose of the ISSS Book Club is to explore the systems science literature in depth. The members of the Club choose specific books, which they collectively read over several months. The process includes monthly reading assignments of approximately 50-100 pages. Participants have opportunities to both suggest books to read and vote on a selection of books.

The ISSS Book Club typically meets on the third Thursday of every month from 12:30 – 2:00 pm Eastern Time.

To find the current and upcoming books and the reading assignments, please check regularly: Book Club at the ISSS Website

It is important to note that participating in the ISSS Book Club is reserved for ISSS members only. Please consider joining or rejoining ISSS if you are not currently a Member to be able to join these wonderful, deep, conversations.

In general, book club meetings are not recorded. Some sessions might be recorded, like the example provided below:

The ISSS Book Club often gives preference to books authored by ISSS members. The Club members are even game to read a yet to be published manuscript in order to offer our colleagues feedback!
