Personal Life

Takafumi Nakamura was born in Kurume, Fukuoka, Japan and lived in Kyoto and Hiroshima until entering university. After graduating from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Kyoto University, he joined Fujitsu as an OS software development engineer, worked as a liaison specialist for large computer OS at Fujitsu Australia, and after returning to Japan, worked mainly as a leader of maintenance technology development for computer systems thereafter. After retiring from Fujitsu, he has been appointed as a special professor at Daito Bunka University in the field of System Science & Information Technology. His family consists of his wife and only daughter, who is happily married and has a boy. My hobbies are reading (pure literature) and Kendo, a Japanese martial art. He is a 4th dan in kendo and continues to practice twice a week.

Academia and Career

Takafumi has over thirty years of experience in ICT infrastructure architecture in the Japanese market and five years of experience in the Australian market. A principal IT architect with Fujitsu and my research interests include system management, software development, technical support for ICT systems, strategic maintenance planning, development support technologies, and risk management. Playing a leadership role as an ICT architect, System Analyst, and System Thinker. I changed my career from IT business to the academic arena in April 2021 and worked for Daito Bunka University, acting as a special appointment professor.
