Re-imagining our world , making friends and making a difference"

Abstract

The short presentation by Janet McIntyre is aimed at inspiring conversation. As members of ISSS and members of the community of practice are scattered in many different time zones a short presentation will be recorded on sources of practical inspiration, intergenerational leadership and case studies that have made a difference to people’s lives. We will also reflect on our own efforts to do community engagement and what we learn together as a community of practice. We will pose some questions for a conversation and invite responses as part of a synchronous conversation and an asynchronous metalogue. If we do not develop equanimity and solidarity – what are the implications for social and environmental justice ? What will it mean for the future of life ( as we know it ) on this planet?
