The ISSS President according to the Bylaws 4.6.3.1 (as of 22 Nov 2022) is: a. The President, as ambassador and visible symbol of the Society, shall act as an ISSS spokesperson to other communities and the larger public, speaking on behalf of the organization’s objectives and advocating for them. b. The President is expected to review and understand the Society’s articles of incorporation and bylaws, financial and legal situation, and strategic plan. c. The President is expected to understand the Society’s past and current financial situation, and to act as a catalyst for obtaining financial resources. d. The President shall be generally responsible for the program of the annual meeting. e. The President shall report on the success of the President’s plan of action after her/his term ends, and familiarize the President-Elect with the duties of the President’s office. f. The President shall serve ex officio on committees.
